Supplier Conference was held in Xi'an with the theme of "Casting New
Products, Strengthening Strength, Gathering Change and Winning
Development". Yuan Hongming, Chairman of Shaanxi Automobile Holdings,
and Wang Yanhong, General Manager of Shaanxi Automobile Holdings attended the
meeting. More than 600 leaders and guests from suppliers from all over the
country and foreign parts and components companies participating in the HD10
project discussed the development environment of the industry, the operation
and development status of Shaanxi Heavy Truck, supply Standards and management,
future cooperation strategies and development were discussed in depth, which
laid a solid foundation for promoting close cooperation with each other. Li
Junjie, the chief representative of the military representative office of the
General Armament Department's Vehicle and Marine Military Representative Office
in Xi'an, Li Shaohua, vice president of Weichai Power Co., Ltd., and Yan
Jianbo, chairman of Shaanxi Fast Gear Co., Ltd., attended the conference as

At the meeting, Wang Yanhong made an
important speech on the operation and development of Shaanxi Heavy Truck in
2015, and put forward specific requirements for the development of the supply
chain in 2016. In 2015, in the face of the cold winter of the industry,
Shaanxi Heavy Truck actively promoted the adjustment of product structure. The
tractors represented by the new M3000 and the trucks represented by the X3000
achieved good market results, effectively making up for the decline of
construction vehicles. The resulting loss of sales has ensured the steady
development of Shaanxi Auto's heavy trucks in a year of market turmoil. The
market share has increased to 14.52%, and the industry ranking has risen to the
fourth place, among which the production and sales of military products have
reached the highest level in history.
According to reports, in 2016, Shaanxi
Automobile's heavy truck production and sales target is locked at 90,000 units.
How to improve the management level and collaboration ability of the supply
chain in the face of the target? Wang Yanhong pointed out that, first of
all, the confidence in development must be firm and unshakable. He said
that although the heavy-duty truck industry will not show a blowout growth like
in previous years, it will still maintain a certain amount of demand. The
in-depth promotion of the three major strategies of "One Belt, One
Road", "Yangtze River Economic Belt" and "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei
Coordinated Development", high-speed rail construction, farmland water
conservancy construction, urban rail transit and pipeline network
transformation, e-commerce logistics brought about by consumption upgrades, A
series of factors such as the rapid development of cold chain logistics and the
gradual improvement of emission regulations are still favorable for the
development of the entire heavy truck industry. Second, we must attach
great importance to cost reduction and efficiency enhancement. It is
necessary to make full use of the centralized procurement platform built by
Shaanxi Automobile to realize the centralized procurement of similar raw
materials as much as possible. It is necessary to speed up research on new
materials and new processes, optimize and control costs from the source. It
is necessary to improve basic management, plug management loopholes, abandon
price games between each other, and reduce internal cost losses. Furthermore,
we must continue to improve product quality. It is necessary to change the
one-sided practice of supply chain companies in the past to control product
quality around OEMs, and to promote the entire supply chain companies,
including Shaanxi Automobile, to always focus on customer needs, improve product
quality, and enhance customer experience. At the same time, it is
necessary to strengthen the ability to respond quickly. In order to meet
the needs of today's personalized market segments, it is necessary to
accelerate the cultivation of flexible production capacity and high-efficiency
response capacity of the entire supply chain. This capacity should be regarded
as an important direction for supply chain construction in 2016 and even in the
next few years.
